The Faculty

Mark Anthony Gucciardi (b.1970) is a representational painter who located to Charlotte at the age of five from Gloucester Massachusetts. Gucciardi studied at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy from 1998 to 2002, where he also became an assistant drawing instructor from 2000 to 2002, as well as teaching summer workshops at the Academy in figure, landscape and portrait painting. Gucciardi has also taught at The Florence Design Academy and the Scuola Internazionale di Comics in Florence, Italy. His paintings, drawings are featured in numerous private collections in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Pascale Ropert is an accomplished IT Business professional and a mother of 3 who maintains a passion for Arts. Pascale is originally a trained classical piano musician who changed careers at age 20. A world traveler, fluent in 4 languages, Pascale and her family fell in love with Charlotte while visiting a friend and decided to call it home in 2013. She was the first student to join the North Carolina Academy of Art in early 2014.
In 2017, as the original Founder Osiris Rain decided to close NCAA her love for the school, the concept and the people motivated her to adopt the school and restore it to its full potential with the help and support from Osiris Rain, Mark Anthony Gucciardi and the students.
